Sea World San Diego

One of my favorite places to visit while in San Diego is Sea World. I really enjoyed watching the Dolphin Show and of course the Shamu Show. Don't forget to pick up a show schedule on your way into Sea World. After purchasing my ticket and entering the park I usually like to get a bite to eat. If you go right from the entrance of Sea World there is a good place to eat at the Sea World Busch Gardens dining area. You can get anything from sandwiches to pasta there, and of course don't forget to get a free sample of Bud Beer.

As I mentioned before my favorite show is the Dolphin Show, which runs periodically throughout the day. I just love watching these beautiful creatures flying through the air. Right behind the Dolphins Show is a water tank that houses the dolphins where you can get up close and personal. For an additional fee, you could even swim with the dolphins. Another great show to catch is of course the Shamu Show. This is one of the longest running shows at Sea World and is a favorite of most visitors. I would recommend trying to catch the show at night which is really spectacular! A fairly new show from Cirque, the company which runs a few entertainment shows in Las Vegas, also is a must see. Also, check the Sea World schedule as fireworks are sometimes on display after the park closes.

Besides the great shows, Sea World has some fantastic rides and attractions. I really enjoyed the Journey To Atlantis, Shipwreck Rapids, and the Sky Tower. If the weather is hot then you should head over to Journey To Atlantis or Shipwreck Rapids because you will get wet on either ride. However, if you prefer to stay dry and get a great view of San Diego, then jump on board the Sky Tower and enjoy the ride. SeaWorld is located at 500 Sea World Drive in Mission Bay, San Diego. Opening and closing times vary by season. Hours are extended during holiday periods and summer evenings (May through Labor Day).
