San Diego is a coastal city located at the very southern edge of the great State of California. San Diego is the second largest city in California and the eighth largest city in the United States by population. San Diego lies just north of the Mexican border and shares it's border with Tijuana. San Diego is famous for it's miles and miles of beautiful beaches and it's Mediterranean climate. San Diego is also home to a large military presense. The United States Navy, United States Marine Corps, and the United States Coast Guard make San Diego home.
The economy of San Diego is fueled by defense, manufacturing, and tourism. Tourism plays an important part in the economy of San Diego. San Diego is a big tourist destination because of it's great weather and endless entertainment activities. When you think of San Diego, you automatically think of Sea World. But, San Diego also offers a world famous zoo, The San Diego Zoo, along with it's sister attraction, The San Diego Wild Animal Park. Not to be outdone by it's neighbors to the north, San Diego also has a theme park for the kids, Legoland located in Carlsbad. For the adults, there is the revitalized Gaslamp District and Seaport Village. As you can see San Diego has an endless array of entertainment choices. Or, you could just hang out on the beach.
